About Me
My name is John Aaron Villarreal, and I'm a wellness coach. Since moving to the Houston area in 1989, I have seen what not only a lack of physical fitness is doing to Americans, but have watched our stress levels climb with each passing year.
Let me shed a little bit of light on my background. In 1993, I made the decision to help people in my community lead a healthier life. Steering away from methods and practices that were all show and no substance, I instead focused my efforts on research-based wellness coaching, fitness mentoring, and massage therapy. In 1995, I opened the doors to Muscle Mechanics (a unique & private personal training studio). In 2001, I graduated from the MRC School of Massage in Houston, Texas and obtained my State License later that same year.
No longer a "20-something" year old, I've come to realize the significant physical challenges faced by a body as it begins to age. Combined with over a decade and a half in the physical fitness and wellness industry, I'm able to offer programs tailored specifically to the needs of experienced clients who need a new way to attain their fitness goals.
When I started out in this industry, it came with the perceptions of a young man - I wanted my body to be as big and sculpted as possible. Fortunately, the wisdom of age has taught me the value in synergy, in the harmony of total fitness - diet, exercise, and the "well rounded" living that creates overall wellness.
For three consecutive years, I've been voted "Best Personal Trainer" by the readers of Outsmart magazine, and there's a reason clients seek out not only my massage therapy sessions, but my services as a total life wellness coach. I've become known as a specialist in health and wellness programming for individuals over the age of 40.
I've learned ways to combine the best of the wellness industry into one effective package, and I offer my clients the chance to breathe deeply, relax totally, and get back to the life they want.
